The picturesque port of Valparaíso, built in the sixteenth century on a total of 43 hills reached by narrow windy streets, stairs and a series of lifts (funicular). This area has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO due to its eclectic architecture and urban development.
You may want to visit the Pablo Neruda Museum that contains some of the poet’s collections, specifically those related to the sea. The Museum is located on one of the hills overlooking the bay and offers fantastic views of the sea.
